Megan Napier
Soloist Alto in the PBC Mozart's concert on 19 July 2026

Megan Napier is a South African mezzo-soprano. She enjoys and has experience in performing a range of opera, art song, oratorio and mass. Some of her notable roles include Zelda ?48 in The Ghosts of Gatsby (Mack) and Zita in Gianni Schicchi (Puccini). As a soloist, she has performed in Beethoven's Mass in C Major (with the PBC on 22 June 2025), Vivaldi's Gloria, Jenkins' Stabat Mater, Mozart's Requiem and Mendelssohn's A Midsummer Night's Dream. She performed with the PBC as the solo alto in Beethoven's Choral Fantasy on 22 June 2025
She received her BMus from the University of Pretoria in 2018 and her MMus in Vocal Performance from Missouri State University in 2021.
While in the States, she was a chorus member of the Ozarks Lyric Opera in Springfield, Missouri. Megan has also sung in various choirs and ensembles, and has toured internationally as a choral singer to various competitions, festivals and conferences. In addition to her active performance career, Megan is passionate about teaching voice and holds multiple teaching positions in Pretoria.
