The Pretoria Bach Choir (PBC) is a highly regarded amateur mixed adult choir.  The PBC welcomes everyone. The commitment of our music leadership to encourage the participation of all who love the chorale genre is fitting testament to this and we have been pleased to welcome members from a wide spectrum of our community to participate in our performances. By joining the choir, you become part of a respected amateur adult choir with a diverse voice palette.

Rehearsals of the PBC takes place Mondays from 19:00 to 21:30 at Pretoria East Primary School, 209 Roper Street, Brooklyn. New singers wishing to join the PBC have to complete an audition. Compulsory membership fees are applicable.

The name "Bach Choir" chosen for the PBC does not imply that only works of Bach nor only Baroque music is performed. The choir strives to achieve the same level of excellence as is typified by the compositions of the great masters. The repertoire is aimed at the widest range possible of works both by known and lesser known composers, and representing the major style periods - from Gregorian chant, unaccompanied motets of the Italian and German masters to works from the great oratorio repertoire, Passion music, and masses of varying style, texture, and extent, whilst sharing the stage with accomplished performing artists.
